Sigourney Weaver is an awarded actress and film producer. She was brought up in a family of an actress (mother) and NBC President (father). From her earliest years Susan Alexandra Weaver (her born name) was interested in literature. She fell in love with the book “The Great Gatsby” by Scott Fitzgerald and took the name of one of the book’s heroine – Sigourney – as her nickname.

The girl fell in love with acting in her teens and entered The Yale School of Drama. Later Siggy called her studying at Yale as “a waste of her time” as mostly she got the roles of old whores there.

Weaver debuted in “Somerset” and then reached her stardom with “Alien”. Other popular films of Sigourney Weaver are “The Village”, “Heartbreakers”, “Working Girl”, “Avatar” etc.

The actress, who was known by her incredible height, looks even better with age. In her 67 she has an elegant face, which is just slightly wrinkled. Her body measurements remained perfect and are close to those of a model.

Being one of the most attractive actresses, Siggy is still married a director Jim Simpson. He is the main love of her life and her only husband. She told in her interview, that she had met Jim at the Williamstown Theater Festival. Then she dared to ask him for a dance. Till now they “dance” together and serve as a good sample to their only daughter, Charlotte Simpson.
