Currently Deontay Wilder is an American heavyweight champion. Like any other professional athlete Deontay can boast with ideal well-shaped body, which he trains regularly. The stellar boxer differs from the others by his towering height. He has 103 kg of weight, but his body is fat free. He has more than 100 kg of pure muscle mass.

Deontay Wilder has always been active and athletic. At first he was keen on football, and hoped to make career in this area. But Deontay had become a father at the age of 19. His daughter Naieya was born with genetic defect and it made Deontay drop out his studying. Thus he couldn’t play for college football team anymore.

But athletic skills of the young man needed to be developed. That’s why he started to train as a boxer in one of gyms at Northport. His coach, Jay Deas, noticed great talent of Deontay and encouraged him to participate in amateur boxing tournaments.

Wilder rose to fame in 2007 when he had won National Golden Gloves competition. In 2008 he got the bronze medal at Olympic Games.

Since 2015 Deontay Wilder has been holding the title of WBC heavyweight champion. He combines his super successful career with up-bringing of four children. He is married his college sweetheart Jessica Scales-Wilder.
